Back in the day, I had a '86 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe. Somebody showed me how to do this mod that kept the turbo on boost longer. Basically I punched a hole in the vacuum tube leading to the wastegate. I'm a little fuzzy on the details after all this time, but the idea was that by lowering the pressure in the vacuum hose (via the hole), it took the system longer to activate the wastegate.
It worked like a charm on my t-coupe, I was able to keep up with 5.0 mustangs of that era.
The question is, would such a thing work today on our MS6? Or is the wastegate controlled electronically instead of by vacuum? Sorry for the dumb question.
