quick hp question

in the near future i plan on getting a cobb sri, turboxs bypass, and doin a rear resonator, and muffler delete what kind of hp gains can i expect from doing this and would the cobb accessport be worth doin with these mods keep in mind im a broke college kid so money is tight thanks.

you wont gain anything from the muffler and resonator delete or the bypass valve, ull feel a difference with the cobb sri, i dont know but i wanna say maybe 5-10 hp and quicker spool up?

and accessport isnt really worth it with just an intake IMO

+1.

No gain from messing with the stock CBE. Absolutely none. Na Na. Zero. Resos and muffler mods are for sound not power -- at least until you get north of 300 whp with serious other mods.

Same with the BPV if it is not proven to be leaking down under high boost. First spend a little money on a manual vacuum/boost gauge and run temporary vacuum line into the cabin and drive the sh*%$t out of it and see if it is holding boost. Chances are good that the stock BPV is performing fine. Mine is.

The best value and most important first power mod is that SRI or a true CAI. There are plenty of dyno runs posted here and elsewhere showing as much as 20 whp gain with a CAI and about the same for a SRI.

When you want to get serious about power, put your money into a new three inch downpipe and race pipe (catless or catted, depending on your state inspection requirements), into your stock CBE, rather than getting the AP, IMHO. I have nothing against it, mind you. I just think it should come tward the end of your other power mods as a complement, rather than as source of power. You can do the tuning then, if you really want to, after your get your base power levels up.
