I have P5 and am finally (>200K miles/7 yrs) looking for a new car....

Does the 3 have a roof rack? (P5 does and it is removable ) Can i add one (need to carry kayaks)?

Should i buy a 3 and add the turbo later - or better to just get the 3speed?

What year did the new (uglier IMHO) ones come out?

not sure about the roof rack, i haven't seen them. Cheaper to get the speed 3 if you want a turbo, smilie faces came out in 2010.

I love my 09.

I have a 2008 Mazda 3 brochure and there is no roof rack listed in the options for the 5 door.

Roof racks for the 3 (sedan or hatch) are a third-party accessory (Thule, Yakima, etc.).
