Questions about the 2014 Mazda3

Hi i had a few questions in regards to the 2014 mazda 3 GS. I cant get my memory card slot working for some strange reason. I tried it in 2 different computers and it seems to be working fine. I havent tried to change the format yet, i have a feeling it may be in NTFS, its a 16GB SDHC card. my seccond issue is the wifi.... what exactily is it used for? i managed to connect it to my wireless hotspot from my phone. Once connected it does absolutly nothing. any help on the 2 matters would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I can answer your question in regards to the SD slot I believe. In the smart start guide it states that its only for the navigation.
No idea about the WiFi, sorry

the Wifi connection is for the Nav Connected Services. If you tether your car to your phone you can pay $69/year for the following features:
Local Search
Fuel Price Information
Live Traffic
Live Weather Information

The SD slot is used solely for the navigation system, and cannot be used for anything else. More importantly, the SD Card you got from Mazda should not be reformatted, or you might not be able to get Nav working again. I hope you haven't modified the contents on it too much....

ok thanks for your help, one more thing i forgot to mention, i am having trouble getting my Iphone to work with the car, calling works fine however the text feature doesnt work, i read a few places that apparently the multimedia unit in the car works best with android and blackberry and does not work with iPhone, is this true??
