Questions about OEM Front Springs.

I am putting my car back to stock and returning, since my lease is comming up.

None the less, I have all stock suspension parts to put it back,

yet noticed that the OEM front springs, one is about a half an inch shorter then the other...

so would it matter which side i put it on?

And a curious question comes along, which side has more weight in the Mazda3 2.3L the driver or passenger side?

thanks for your help

AZN, I pulled out my stock springs and checked them and they look like they are the same lwngth. I would be surprised to find out Mazda was installing springs of different lengths.

Only reason i ask is.....

with regards to the motor, where is the heavy side of the motor...

when I can figure out where is the heavy side then it should tell me, where the longer spring would go...

I understand the thought process, Iam just surprised. Especially considering mine are the same length.
Anyway, I would guess the passenger side would be the heavier side since you've got the tranny situated more towards that side.

But if you do your most spirited driving alone, wouldn't your weight shift that to the driver's side?

My passanger side sat lower when I put coilovers on, both set at the same height before putting them on. Also I could lower the passanger more than the driver.

Ive got an 06 pzev btw
