I tried searching the forums for an answer to this but couldn't find anything on the pages I went through. I'm wondering without going aftermarket if there is a way to change the orange dash lights to blue.

Yeah, somebody posted up somethin awhile back about changing lights to different color. It's in here somewhere but not recallin the thread title tho.

yes, you can.
you can change out the lights in the back or just change the little colored rubber covering on the lights (be careful when doing that).

...the thing is, the white faceplate is translucent with a red/orange film in it, to no matter what color light you put in back you will still have a orangish tinge...

I was wondering that about the "film" i ran into the same problem with an old sunbird i owned. On the sunbird i removed the film. Not sure if you can do the same with the P5 dash.

so this is what my cluster looks like, they're P5 face plates so they'll be the same as yours

what i did what swap out the orange lights from the p5 cluster with my old green lights, to get a pretty cool color combo! I like it!

I kinda like that. Almost looks like oem glo face action. Now if ya could just get the center dash area to do that..........

Looks pretty good but not the effect i'm looking for. I'm gonna have to take the thing apart and have a look at it see if that film can be removed like on the sunbird.
