Question...

'07 Mazda6
Hello,

I'm new to the forums and have a question.

I have a '07 Mazda6 (4 cylinder) 4 door sedan. I would like to know if there would be any major problems in putting a set of 18x8" rims with 215/45ZR18 tires. I am stuck between two sets of rims...here is a link for each.

Change the car color to Pebble Ash as that is the closest to the sand color on my car. Let me know what you think or if you have any suggestions.

But the main thing I want to know is whether or not they will fit with no problems.

Incase the links aren't working the first link is a Borbet Type XL with black accent and the second is a Sport Edition F10 with black accent.

The rim will work just fine with a +50 offset. However, the tires will have a stretched look as 8" is the upper limit for the 215 tire. If you're buying new tires as well, go with a 225.

Ok...so will upgrading to a wider tire affect the spedometer in any way? Will this make the car slower? Faster? Also do you know of a good brand name tire that would fit the rim? I'm thinking of a Michelin Pilot Sport, but they are damn expensive..lol. Is there anything that would be close in comparison to this tire...the only reason I'm looking at it is because of excellent reviews.
