Just one question, does the hp racing header for the 2001 protege fit the protege5??? I saw it on NOPI.com for sale for about $200. Any and all the info would be great.

i think you need to check whether or not that header is for the 2.0 liter or the 1.8 - i recall someone somewhere saying that it would not fit.

I believe that the 2001 engine is a 2.0. On protegetech.com under the model info tab, there is some information on the 2001 model of the protege. Can anyone truly verify this?? Any pics on the header if anyone has it installed on the 2.0??

I believe that the 2001 engine is a 2.0.

in 2001 both the 1.8 and 2.0 engines were available in the Protege. The ES had the 2.0 and the lesser models had the 1.8 liter motor. Jim

Ok, so does anyone know if the HP Racing 4-2-1 header fits the mp3/p5?? Im seriously considering ordering the header and I really need to know if the header fits the 2.0 L. any info would be great. I'm lovin the feedback! good looks people! And keep it comin aight. I seriously need to know.
