Question for the Mazda2 Gurus

I am working on a project and I need to find this out:

1)are 2 versions of a Mazda 2 ? (DE) and (DY) ?

2)which one is your engine code 1.5 16v 100hp xxx ZYE9??

Example: 1.5L 16v MZR 102hp ZJ77?

3) Is this engine related to the CX-7 2.2L 16 v MZR-CD 173hp with Denso computer R2AX?

4) Is there another model with the same motor?

Humm good questions, I'll look into mine to see the DE DY.
As for the MZR, I was thinking of the MZR 2.0l as a swap if it was possible but a true FWD set up to start with would help the sawp so the 2.2l MZR would make more sense.

I wonder how heavy these engines are compared to the 1,5l, adding weight to the front won't help the handling. A turbo kit or supercharger could be a easyer upgrade for the 2....

pretty sure the engine code is: ZY-VE

doesn't look like it the Mazda 2 uses the Z series of engine: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mazda_Z_engine#ZY
