Question about rx8 OEM wheels and MS3 stock tires

Ever since I picked up my 08 Black Mica MS3 - I've had my eye on the RX8 rims. I never knew that so many other MS3 owners felt the same way that I did about them (clean and sporty look) (lol2)

I'm in the process of picking up a set of RX8 wheels for a decent price and was wondering if the MS3 stock rubber will fit the rim (not good on tire sizes and such).

So - my question is, would I be able to add my MS3 tires to the RX8 wheels? The RX8 wheels include the TPMS and locking nut set. Thanks in advance.

no. Im running the wider OEM Rx8 potenzas (225/45/18) and am dropped 2" and I never rub.

Should fit and look fine. I've read that if you put different TPMS sensors in, you have to pay a visit to the dealer and they have to enter the new numbers from the sensors into the computer. I have my doubts, but no contradicting information. I would think all you'll need is the fifteen minutes of waiting during the process, but I have no first-hand knowledge.

225s are the best fit for these wheels...less rim exposed for those days when you get a little too close to that curb. If you have the cash to throw at it, get the whole package and upgrade your tires while you're at it.

Since I'm in the process of buying a house, the less amount spent on frivolous (I don't think so, but my girl does (smash) ) items the better. Can't really afford a new set of rubber. So what I plan on doing..

Keep the original rubber and TPMS from the stock MS3 wheel set.
Buy the RX8 wheels.
Bring to tire shop to get mounted.

Sound right?

That's what I'm doing. Supposedly if you swap the TPMS and tires to the RX-8 wheels, you won't have to recalibrate the sensors. So I've been told.

Correct. My RX8s came with tires and TPMS...never had to do s***. Car picked up the new TPMS instantly. Very cool.
