OK, this isnt about my Speed, but figured I could still get expert help here.

Bought wifey a Chrysler Pacifica 18 months ago. Orphan 07, 4.0, AWD. Not a bad rig for trucking the family long distances down the highway. She has been having REALLY crappy milage for a while. Drove 240 miles today with the Dashhawk plugged in, with various sensors on different screens to try and figure it out. Bear in mind I just changed the oil, 3750 miles on the change from Jiffy lube, got out just under 3 quarts of hersheys syrup out of the 5.5 of full synthetic I paid for...assholes. IN ANY CASE, the hawk was showing that bank 1 was acting...funny. 45 degrees of timing advance on average across the board, bank 1 cats were running 200*+ hotter then bank 2 (~1600 vs ~1350) and the O2 sensors were WAY under voltage compared to bank 2. Hawk showed pedel position at 10-15% (cruising at ~65) with commanded throttle about the same, actual TB position 30-40%. Flat and level cruising at 65 showed load between 80 and 90%. Meaning the motor was working its ass off with less then 700 pounds on board, and the hawk was showing about 18 mpg. To top it off, rpms were consistantly about 2K, i never felt the tranny/torque converter lock out like it used to, i kept expecting 1750 or so (thats what it was showing when i drove the thing 500 miles home when i bought it).
The way Im reading all of it is that one bank is running fatter then Roseanne Barr on a big wheel, the TB was staying open to keep enough o2 flow to compensate, the torque converter wasnt locking out into full overdrive, cos it was developing too much thrust, and costing me gas. The flip side is the thing accelerates like it was shot outta a howitzer, have to do some datalogs, but it feels alot like the speed between 40 and 70.
My first thought is to yank the battery overnight and reset the computer and see what happens on the way home next weekend. my next thought is to pull the plugs, check the gaps, yank the injectors and do the same, and, christ help me, pull the rail if needed.
Thoughts appreciated. Admins please feel free to move to appropriate forum if this isnt right, but I couldnt think of anywhere else. Too lazy to spend half the week checking chrysler forums on the off chance of finding on about pacificas.

How many miles are on it? Could be getting a clogged cat which would really impair the mileage and how hard the motor is working. Which would result in the hotter temps on one side compared to the other, the clogged cat would be the hotter one.

28650 as of last night. Starting to think i got the chicken and the egg backwards. Did some more looking last night, its its probably the tranny/torque converter causing the motor to work harder instead of the other way around. Found a forum where some dude was complianing about the exact same issues. turns out theres something about the forward pump, finding metal splinters and shavings in the pan, and the TC not working right, and possibly a computer issue. So I guess its back to the shop when i get home. Still doesnt explain why Bank 1 is running hotter, with wierd O2 voltage, and the LTFTs are +12 on that bank and only about + 3 or 4 on the other...
