Question about installing the MAZDASPEED exhaust

I saw some people install the Mazdaspeed exhaust with the tip adhered to the round cutout on the bumper.

And some people hang it a bit lower...

is there any reason why should we get the exhaust tip apart from the bumper cutout...

Somebody told me that the exhaust tip is hell hot and it will melt melt the paint if it is too close to the bumper. But when I touch my stock exhaust tip, it is not hot but just a bit warm...

I want to make the tip adhere to the bumper so it looks neat, but dun know if that would screw up the paint on the bumper...

The tip gets too hot. The exhaust pipe should not touch rear bumper at all. It'll melt the plastic.
Here's what it should look like. ;)

thanks for replying...

but did you get a new exhaust hanger...
or you just use the stock one?

I used the stock hangers. There's two of 'em. It was pretty straight forward. One tip I have is to squirt the bolts on the old exhaust with some WD40 and let it soak in for a few minutes(15 or so), then take off the old pipe. Those bolts were rusted on when I did my car, and the WD40 was a lifesaver.
Other than that, The Mazdaspeed a straight bolt-on(2 bolts & 2 hangers)...that's well worth it, IMO.
