How much boost does this car make stock?? is there a safe way to raise the boost a few psi with no problems, like a MBC or vacum line restrictor ect..???? Or are there any reflashes available for this car to raise the boost some??? any advice is greatly appreciated??

Ok so has anyone actually tested there afr's with a wideband to see if they are leaning out when they add more boost??? just want to make sure its actually safe before i ever do it.

Most people are boosting 18 psi(15.6 psi is stock) and is safe. The ms3 runs pig rich at 10:1 a/f ratios most of the time. Some are boosting 20 psi, but that is the end of the line limit for the stock turbo.

no...that is controlled by the computer...a mbc will allow you to hold boost after 5700 when the car falls on its face...bad

damn someone needs to make a reflash for this car(confused).
or maybe this is a good thing when your making alot of hp on a front wheel drive car??

Yes it will. The ECU can't controll the boost if there is an MBC connected to the wastegate. But what it will do is cut fuel due to the overboost condition. You'll need an ATP FCD to trick the MAP sensor into only seeing 15.6 Max boost.

There are a few people here on the boards that run that setup and it seems to work pretty well.

When you install your mbc, you will bypass the stock boost solenoid. So the ecu will no longer have control of boost. But to avoid fuel/boost cut you need the atp fsc(fuel cut defender) like jays07ms3 said.
ALL THIS IS ON THE LINKS I GAVE YOU!!!

Reflash is not possible given Mazda's ability to code, so standbacks and piggybacks are available from Exede and CP-E. That is within the searches as well.

On my MKV GTI, 500 bucks and a half hour later you had 6 more lbs of boot and 20 HP and 30lbs of torque with a simple plug in reflash. I was also able to switch back and forth between stock and performance modes. Strange how that is not possible for the Speed3

The flash thing is starting to rear its ugly head across the board. I wouldn't be surprised in the next few years, EVERY car as complicated ECU coding.

OK then.... what about adding an ABC or auxilary boost control valve??? they are different than an MBC, they are made to work with stock boost control system, and work by bleeding off some of the boost pressure to hold the wastegate closed abit longer. it worked perfect on my WRX and never had boost spikes like the MBC's. ANYONE ?????

Ok so what boost controller are people using to raise the boost a few psi with no spikes??? just want input so i get the correct one, thanks
