Q: Cel From Catted Cpe Dp (help!)

I've had my DP installed for about ~1000 miles now with no CEL. Today the CEL lit up out of nowhere. I have the CPE catted DP(suppose to have no CEL). Has anyone else encountered this problem?

*If I take my car to a Mazda Dealership to have it checked out, will they automatically void my warranty?

Get the code scanned out at an independent. It may have nothing to do with your pipe.

Don't take it to the dealer with the DP on, unless you are sure they are really friendly.

Ya,Just take it to auto zone or something and have them tell you what the code is.The dealer is a bad idea.

How old is your catted CP-E DP? What CEL did you get?
If its related to your DP, PM me for details...

Do not take the car in with the DP unless you plan on losing your warranty.

I would suggest going to Autozone..they do free tests.

Atleast in my area they do.

If the code is P0139, then it's more than likely dp related. That code deals with the 2nd O2 sensor slow response. Go to autozone or advanced auto and let them scan it. Or just buy a MSD DashHawk and read it/clear it yourself.

if i can recall correctly the code was: P04021. It had something to do with the 2nd O2 sensor.
