Routing the pipes is going to a little hard with 2.5" pipes all around. I didn't realize there's very little space to work with around the turbo at first. Still waiting for my hoses. If anyone has an suggestions please don't hesitate to speak :)

Later.

take out the stock ic and use that space/

You need to keep the stock I/C for radiator support, unless you get a full size radiator.

i think he meant while installing. i was going to say take out that whole assembly, radiator, fans and stock ic. it'll give you more room to work

this goes without saying, but whatever u do, just dont jam stuff out of the way, haha. i learned the hard way with a cai on my old lancer.

not if you did like i did and drilled new mounting holes;)

way to be enterprising about the project. Reminds me of when i did mine:'( a couple of questions....

First, I see you ran the MAF through your IC pipes. I was wondering why you did this. Also, is it running good this way?

Second, why did you have to hammer the pipe down?

Also, could you get some pics from farther away with your car on the ground?

Calling it a day. I hammered the pipe down because that's the only way it would squize through all the ac lines and the radiator going to the turbo. Still it's not enough clearance for my taste. I don't want to risk it. It's either get more pipes in 2" diameter of just give up on the FMIC and make hard pipes. Unless someone that did a custom job with 2.5" all around can help me out here. Plus, on the IC->turbo side the pipes are ran underneath the car where it'll probably introduce ground clearance issues. I couldn't find a place to just run the pipes straight through.

I put the maf on the pressure side because I was told that the car doesn't mind having an open vent BOV this way. And the BOV is very loud this way.

5 180deg bend 24" leg pipes were 140 shipped from JCWitney.
Choose your radius wisely if you're going to order pipes. I didn't :(

Thanks.

Well the car isn't running yet. But why do you say that? Other members of this forum are running a setup like that for atleast 6 months with no problems.

Thanks.

I haven't seen a single MSP with a blow through MAF setup. The sensor inside measuring airflow is very thin and brittle. Hopefully it'll work for you, let us know how it goes.

It does look brittle, but I want to run open vent. Choises choises, expensive choises too unfortunately

Thanks.
