Punk A$$ Chicago Cops.

side note:

Front plate law is rediculous, and the tint thing ... I dunno. If they didnt have it, I could see people putting limo tint on their windshields.. so eh...... I think IL should allow a certain amount of tint on the front windows though.

but sorry that you got caught

^^ i agree with the tint comment. i think there should be some kind of allowance for tint level onthe front windows as opposed to no tint whatsoever. dont know what that level would be though. but the whole big thing about tinting the front windows was to maintain the safety of the officers when they pull someone over. just imagine being the person to come up to a car that you couldn't see in...all of the sudden, the window rolls and u get shot in the face.

as for the front license plate, i haven't heard the reasoning for that, but i hope it's at least decent instead of there being a place for it to go on.

Cant help you with the other problems with the front plate being missing and the illegal tint. But as far as the expired tag.. check with your local DMV. Here in NC, you have 15 days from the last day of the last month it expired to get a new plate. For example: your plate is Oct 03. It's now Nov. 2nd of 03. You should still be covered until Nov. 15th. Check with your local DMV office.

i know that if you bought a city sticker or a plate sticker and just didn't get around to putting it on, you can contest and show the judge the receipt and registration and they'll waive the ticket. should work even if you bought the stickers after the expiration. usually the city just tacks on a late fee to everyone that buys it after it's due.

how did they give you the ticket if you werent even there?
I can KIND of understand the tickets onthe plates depending on your area...but I mean, were your windows down? how did they legally measure the light transmittance of the windows?

some cops around here use some sort of light meter. its pretty stupid, depending on where you are and how gay the cops want to be.

Lord Zath, do you know when the law is being changed? I only have a rear plate, and I'd prefer not to have to drill holes into my front bumper if it's not going to be required soon.

Oh how great

Chicago cops just make sure nothing gets stolen and no one gets killed. The Psycho cop near your girl is probably 100% to blame.

It was end of the month they could have needed to make some more bank for the city , who knows. They planned to hit you, i can tell you that. You did break the law though.

IL state law you must have a front plate, I have customers who come from other states and have to buy a front frame because they have had tickets.

Tint only in rear windows, no more than 35% darkness

If they are going to hit you for all they can if they are going to get you.

Never get on a cops bad side, they can be dicks is you hit the wrong buttons.

Also if anyone knows anyone looking for a mazda speed 2005 oil cap let me know.

It does not say anything about a percentage of tint in the rear windows in the Illinois statute.
