puddle lights on side mirrors

i plan on putting puddle lights under the side mirrors. whooo hooo!
it is still in the development stage. as soon as it is finished i want to put the process on a "how to" section. i thought of the washer squirt thing, ya know those cheezey things that some/most rice boys are using and flush mount them under and inside the side mirrors. i would have to tap into the interior lighting system(dome lights)
so when you unlock the car the liights come on. i had them on my explorer and i loved them.

okay, call me stupid, but what on earth? I don't understand.. what are they?

Most new Fords have them. They are lights underneath the side mirrors. When you unlock the doors with your remote the lights come on and illuminate the two front doors and the ground directly alongside the car.
