Picked up my P5 tonight. Traded in my BMW 325i. Love the P5.

Once the economy comes off the iron lung, I am planning on the following mods:

Sport Seats
Turbo

In the meantime, I want a titanium-style shift knob, and perhaps an upgraded exhaust and intake. Also considering lightweight flywheel and short shift kit.

Any other inexpensive mods you guys think I should consider?

Thanks and looking forward to being a member of the forum.

Hi, I accidently posted a thread on the MP# board that Kartboy is now offering a combo for their shifter/bushing/knob. Price is $135. A deal considering that The next cheapest one is the TWM at $122 just for the shifter. Found the B&M for $144 somewhere and the pacesetter I think was around $170 or so, not sure.

The bushing takes out slack and the knob just looks cool. Knob is cnc'ed aluminum and comes in three anodized colors. Ordered mine today. Total cost was $142 shipped USPS priority.

I've also added the Mazdaspeed bolt on rear section and the AEM short ram. Changed spark plugs to Bosch plat 4. I also have a Thule bike rack on the stock roof rack and a custom hidden hitch.

Do you have picks of that custom hitch? I want to do the same deal for my mountain bikes...

Welcome to the board alex. My .02 cents would be to get a set of Eibach springs :D

Thanks the shift kit looks good.

Springs are on the short list. Looking this AM and thinking how good it will look lowered a bit. A little worried about my driveway as it is rounded and I already have to approach it at about 30 degrees to not scrape the front air dam. Will get height adjustable just in case I can't lower.

What is the best headlight bulb replacement? I was really used to xenons.

Thanks.

Hello AlexH, and Welcome to our happy little corner of the net, and to our Club. There are TWO BIG fridge'S in the corner with anything you can think of in them...help yourself...of course only take what you can LEGALLY have. (stash)

make yourself at home on one of the big fluffy couches, kick your shoes off, put your feet up on one of the tables, yes we are allowed to do that, mom don't care....and take it easy.

oh...btw....every once in a while a food fight breaks out...so you may not want to wear nice clothes here.

Welcome!! (stash)

First, weclome to the board. Nice to see another person representing in the bay area.

There are a couple of people that have done the HID/Xenon conversion on the board. Just do some searches and you should be able to find some information. Have heard good things about the K2 conversion kits and a couple of others but I haven't fully researched it for myselft yet. It's on the list of things I would like to do someday.

Also make sure you look up the Auto R&D guys here in San Jose: http://www.autornd.com/ Rishie will be able to help you with many of the things for your car, especially rims and suspension products :D

Thanks for the info, jrod. Looks like Auto R&D is about 5 minutes from my house, so I will definitely check them out.
