I was talking to one of the tech reps from ACT and he told me that they are waiting to receive a stock clutch from an MS3 so that they can build a prototype. Hopefully by Late June, beginning of July they will be announcing something for the MS3. The tech rep told me that at the moment there is no high demand on the MS3 clutch, but I told him that I can start a thread to see if the mazda community might be interested in an ACT clutch, hence they can work on the prototype sooner to start production. Those that would want a different option other than the Spec clutches post your opinions on a new prototype ACT clutch for the MS3.

Theres no demand because there isnt any tuning out to tune the car to make the amount of power required to upgrade the stock clutch.

Clutch upgrades will be in very high demand in the near future, once people start making 350-400 wheel torque.

Your right. However, people that are out there running their cars with a good amount of miles on the clutches would like to see more options other than Spec clutches. Just my opinion.

ACT are quality products and come time I will be delighted add that to my list of mods. the stock flywheel is ok for my style of driving though. Thanks for the heads up Kendall and yep I have an interest.

Lets hope we get more fellow mazda owners to have the same enthusiasm.

I really think this would be a good thing too.
On my last car, I had a ACT clutch, and I really liked the pedal feel of a heavier, stronger duty clutch. I want that feeling again. I know the SPEC would work, but since I've used ACT first hand, it'd be nice to be able to get one if I needed it.

It's always good to have more than one option for a clutch upgrade.

ACT pricing is pretty well balanced as well. Any way you can find out about plans for a lightweight flywheel? With nearly 400lbs of tq by next week, and a weakened stock clutch, this is looking to be my next major mod, and my final. I'm done throwing money into this damn car.
