thanks for the info spicy, I know its gunna take ALOT of work, but im willing to put forth my best effort to pull this off. I'll let ya know if it turns out.
PM Jersey_EMT. The New Jersey meet that he helped organize last year brought in more cars than Protegefest.

Hey Kyle...I might second that idea about scraping the rally and making Protegefest instead or having it all tie together.

That would be a GREAT idea.. I can set up the BBQ at Mazda R&d Still too. This could be a great idea for a whole weekend event.

BTW do you even know how many people were at protegefest?

Please read carefully...I said more cars...not people. There were around 80 cars at Protegefest and I think the New Jersey meet got 90+ even without vendors and racing. The new Jersey meet was also free.

Justin(Maz94ProtegeDX or something like that) from the East Coast came and hung out in the Bay Area for a month or so and he kept saying how the east coast guys are so much more willing to drive for a car meet. That's probably why P-Fest wasn't bigger. Plus it was about as far south as you can go without leaving the country.
I had a great time last year, but if it's 15min from the Mexican border again, the 500 mile each-way drive's just too grueling for a one day event.

MAZDA LAGUNA SECA RACEWAY
I can't think of a better place on earth for a mazda meet.

FRESNO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1 HAHAHA jk.... there is not a damn thing to do there... :) pismo is awsome.. nice sunny beachy... what do yall think..just my 2 cents :)

How much is gas on the east coast again?

It gets a bit expensive driving my car anywhere besides the track and back, considering it gets roughly 12 miles to the gallon.

$2.00/ gallon average around here.

And that's dirt cheap right now. Here in NorCal (Bay Area) at the cheapest of the cheap stations (Safeway/Costco) Gas is $2.27-$2.30ish for 87 Octane....

And other places in the Bay Area are even more expensive

Any way back on topic.

Steph,

You better believe your ass that I'll be back. Hopefully I can rally some more Arizonans out west.

The last one was so much fun and I'm looking forward to the next one. Central or Southern Cali is fine.

MOCC did an awesome job with ProtegeFest.

Steph you are the (wo)man!
