Protege03ak46's Build Thread

yeah man, I know its the same diffuser, literally, but something looks off with it on yours compared to how it was on his. Maybe the angle of the picture just isn't flattering, not sure

Oh, I see why you guys arnt getting it. The difference is the winglets on the side. Mike never used them because he never had to. His spare tire thing is tucked up more than the protege and since this is what the diffuser is attached to, I had to move the rest of it down to keep it all level. Mike just attached it strait to the bumper.

I dunno if you would want to paint match it or not, but I was thinking that i could be the reason it looks off is that the two blacks are close but obv dont match ... i dunno

Im thinking about getting some rx-7 wheels before summer so I can hit up mount baker and some of the great driving roads in central washington. My car isnt fun with these tires. What's the fattest tread I can get?

if you get fat tires, dont get huge sidewalls, thats pointless and what i see alot of people doing for some reason.
245/40 would be more then enough grip for your cars power level

i agree, i thinks its just cuz iv never been a fan of that style spoiler, didnt they make something similar on mustangs? didnt like it. btw man whats stoppin you from goin lower?

Honestly, I dont want to go lower. Iv come to the realization that being slammed isnt all that. Im getting tired of planning my routes and avoiding areas. Construction is getting worse and worse around here and I dont feel like risking my car just to make it look better. If that gets me off the slammed list, oh well

But stance is everything...

Im rocking a 215/40 on my FD's and they are the S Drives and it does a swell job for me! no rubbing at all but still a good bit of meat on the road
