I'm pulling parts off my car and thought it would be nice to have a list of how much things weigh that people would either pull off their cars or replace with lighter versions. Please post any more weights that you know and I'll add them to the list:

I need to get a cf trunk and lose the wing. Is the stock bumper lighter than the buddy club bumper?

how easy is it to take off the sub rack? I don't think I want to do it but I did hear that it's got some pounds up there.

An Odyssey PC680 battery is a good alternative to the stock, heavy, lead acid battery.

Careful doing too much weight reduction on a car that is street driven. A really lightweight car usually ends up being a really loud car as well.

sub rack will come out easily. 4 bolts and then disconnect the RCA, remote, power, and ground. take about 20 minute max and you'll save 25lbs.

i think coilovers are a big weight saver too. i remember when i took out my stock tokico/racing beat setup for the JIC Magic FLT-A2, the JIC were noticibly lighter than the stock.

well, i've already got the loud thing going on and if a change 3 bolts and subtract my 1 cat it gets even louder by far. I'm gonna go and look for these 4 bolts to take off the sub rack.

if you look at the box you'll see 2 black brackets that hold the sub box to the trunk frame. there are 4 bolts you'll want to take off, 2 on the left bracket and 2 on the right bracket (14mm i think) that hold the box to the brackets. The bolts are screwing upward so you'll have to look up at the box to see it. Once the 4 bolts are taken off, and the wires taken off the amp, the box will side out if you pull on it.

by taking out the sub, amp, and enclosure you'll save about 25 lbs.

I plan on removing mine only at the track. I like my music too much to remove the stereo since I'm going to be using ballast to get back up to the minumum weight for TT anyway. The good thing is I can put the ballast wherever I want it.
