Ok so I am looking to replace all my bushings on my P5 and I was thinking (thought) that maybe the Protege Speeds have a stiffer bushings. Would make sense, right? If they did, they would most likely fit, right? Below are the parts along with the standard OEM P5 replacement part numbers:

Upper (34-012) and lower (34-0A3) Spring seat bushings Front and rear.
This Conical rubber bushing that goes under the shock boot (34-111).
Front (34-156) and Rear (28-102) stabilizer bar bushings.
All three rack and pinion bushings (32-123) and (32-124)

I am debating whether or not I should buy the whole lower control arm or not. I want to take off the hub and see if the ball joint is all loosy-goosy if it is, then I have no choice but to replace it.

I have 135,000 miles on my beast, what do you guys think? Thanks.

Sadly the bushings from the MSP are not an upgrade. But yea replace them all. even your sway bar bushings front and rear.

Ok, thanks for the replies. I am deffinetly getting the AWR Adjustable Sway bar end links instead of the OEM ones, does anyone have them? If you do how do you like em?

Lots of people have the AWR endlinks and most will tell you to stay away. I don't have them, but from what I have read, they tend to give off a "clunking" noise if not tightened enough. Not really that big of a deal if you ask me if you are aware of this and over-tighten them, which won't harm anything.

What causes them to clunk? Just that people aren't tightening them enough or is it an engineering defect that can be solved by over tightening them. Which I would be a little hesitant to do for fear of over stretching the bolt =\

all of you lucky bastards living in the warmth. anyone have any exprience with them in the winter in Canada? I drive mine every day and i'm scared rthe gravel and silt and sand and salt on the roads here 6 months of the year will distroy those things.....
and i'n my exprience end links only clunk when they are loose or worn
