Protege Recall

I checked the sticker on the inside of the driver's door and saw that my car was manufactured 04/01. So, I don't know if this applies to any of our cars, but I found this on cars.com:

Year of Recall: 2001

Manufacture: 2001

Manufactured: FROM 2000JUL TO 2000DEC

Component: BRAKES : HYDRAULIC : LINES : HOSE : NON-METALLIC

SUMMARY:
Vehicle Description: Passenger vehicles. Some left side rear brake hoses were damaged during assembly. Brake fluid leakage could occur.

Brake performance would be degraded, increasing the risk of a crash.

Dealers will inspect the brake hose and, if necessary, replace the hose. Owner notification began February 20, 2001. Owners who take their vehicles to an authorized dealer on an agreed upon service date and do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact Mazda at 1-800-222-5500. Also contact the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration's Auto Safety Hotline at 1-888-DASH-2-DOT (1-888-327-4236).

Just thought people would want to check.

I am pretty sure if u look on ur driver door to find out the date of production it will be in 01...pretty sure...so i dont think that pertains to us...

You ask a stupid question my friend when you already know the answer.
In your post you mention that your car was made 4/01 and then ask if your car is under the 2000 recall?
Can you count? j/k
Hopefully they will do a recall on those bushings soon, I had mine replaced a while back, but they replaced them with the still old part number at the time.

No need to be rude! I said that I didn't know if it applied to "ANY of OUR cars." I know it doesn't apply to mine, but I posted here so that others could check to see when their cars were manufactured. Amazingly, I don't know when your car was built. I purchased my car in October 2001 and it was built in April 2001. I thought maybe there were some manufactured before mine and that might mean that they were built in the period mentioned in the recall.
