Protege parts on a Protege5

Will parts for a protege fit on a P5? Is the rear suspension the same parts wise?

Depends what you mean by 'rear suspension'. Basic suspension parts should be the same (springs, shocks, rear lower trailing arm). But the P5 has 5 lugs and the protege has 4 lugs, so if your talking about the whole rear assembly then they are different.

Some Proteges have a 5-lug pattern as well:

All P5's have sport suspension. Regular Protgs may or may not have sport suspension.

I know the end links are a different length.

All P5's have 5 lug rear disk brakes,... some regular Proteges have 4 lug rear drum brakes.

You'll want to look for the "ES" trim of the sedan which has the 5 lug and whatnot. The Protege5 is a ES trim in hatchback/wagon form.
