Just got a 99 pro as a winter beater. It's got 14" stock wheels, and could use winter tires. Being the el cheapo that I am, I'm wondering if it'd be possible to use some 205/75/14s from my old minivan that died last yr (right after buying winter tires)... Is this doable, or will I have to sell the van tires and pony up for 185/65/14 winter tires?

I think those would likely rub. There's the tire recipe thread at the top to check though. Also if say to put one tire on and check before selling them, I'm fairly el cheapie when it comes to tires too, I get decent tires but waste not want not

185s will slice through snow pretty good, I had 185/60/13 on my Honda and it had no issues in the snow

Have you put them up to the car? that's a 3" height difference! Not having tried it myself I can't promise one way or another but I'd guess that even IF they even fit in the fenders you're going to rub every time you take a corner or hit a crack in the asphault Worst of all you're going to ride on the snow instead of cutting through it.
