Anyone know the website of the company that makes a Protege hood with a scoop. i saw a couple available on eBay some time back, but I forget who makes it. Thanks in advance.

Do you mean the SLP hood??

I.D.

More like a WRX more than an EVO style, but the scoop housing was a little larger than a WRX. I remember seeing a yellow P5 with it on there.

its not. its like one step up from the plastic pieces you get outta something like a pepboys catelog and epoxy to the hood. in this case, it looks like they just made the whole hood and skipped the epoxy.

Actually, they offer 4 styles, 2 are just skins, and I believe 1 had full reinforcement but nonfunctioning scoop, and one was fully functional. It has channeling that runs the air from the scoop to an intake, somehow. The fully functional ran $800-$900. Mitch at protege5online was selling them a while back.

im quite certain you need hood pins with the SLPs and they are only certified or whatever for offroad use

wouldnt want a fiberglass skin peelin off

it IS functional. SLP has shots of under the hood, but it looks very... wierd... has air going from the vent to where our intake box is. i wouldnt waste my money on that, sorry - chris

you can just get a universal scoop if you want it for looks. it would be much cheaper.

erebuni.com has tons of hood scoops and vent stuff.

not my flavor but if you wnat it go nuts
