Well they have two kias now but ones got no tranny and the other is auto.

but how do the guys who drag with the awd fix this problem by welding the tranny...like where do they weld the thing to.?

-||- like that so that the drive shaft can go to the rear wheels. its welded on the sides to the firewall and subframe IIRC

Only with certain modifications.the stock setup has ver liitle at best. I know people with a T3/T4 on there and they dont have much at all. It can usually be reduced with a good manifold.
