Protege 5, parts

Hi there,
My poor Protege5 crapped out. According to Mazda and the local shop it is a spun rod bearing. Finally broke loose and killed the engine. A new/used engine is simply not worth the cost. So I'm getting rid of it. However, you guys have all been helpful to me in the past so here's my chance to help you all out...If anyone in the Chicagoland area is interested, it's in good condition and for sale as a whole. It's yellow.

OR...I am willing to pull parts and sell them (willing to ship) depending on what you're willing to pay and what you want out of it.

Off the top of my head:

- I have a set of clear taillights for it, they are in nice condition.
- 2 Pirelli P6 Four Seasons 205/50/16 tires. Good tread left on one, mediocre on the other.
- Lower front grill

Damaged parts:
- Front bumper, crack on Driver side (crazy woman driver...)
- Windshield cracked
- Small rust spot on Drivers Rear Wheel well

When the knocking started I bought another car for the event that the Mazda died so I never fixed the windshield or the rust.

Anything you guys would be interested in just let me know.

Hopefully this thread doesn't get locked. Here is all I have at the moment as far as my screen name with a couple parts. Completely forgot about the SN with date...

It has an AEM short ram intake, kind of rusty. I didn't think anyone would really be interested in it. I can get Engine bay pics tomorrow or Friday. Car is at my fathers place since my apartment wouldn't let it stay here any longer on account of the blizzard we got hit with last week (they wanted to plow so it was either I tow it elsewhere or THEY tow it to the tow yard).

Where are u located and how much for the front bumper shipped to 11206

I didn't mention that the front bumper has a crack. It is in the pics I got at home that I'll be putting up. I'll update any of the other minor damage in the original post since others may read this before I post the pics.

Located just outside of Chicago

well before your thread gets locked your gonna have to post up your screen name and todays date in one of those pics

oh and i see the crack doesnt look to bad but let me know and how much for the passenger side headlight, or both shipped to 11206

A used engine shouldn't cost more than $400... that isn't worth it?

Simple explanation:
Car died, quotes at both shops were too expensive for what I wanted to spend. I had the P5 and an 03 Mustang GT with summer tires and it was supposed to snow in two days (1 dead car, 1 undriveable for the weather)...Nobody could install an engine quick enough to get the Mazda running. I had to get to work so I opted for Blizzaks on the Mustang. Life happened, had to make a quick decision. Now I don't need the extra car. FWIW, Mustang GT with Blizzaks and traction control in the winter is a tank. I actually think it performs better than the P5 ever did. I see you're not far from me, where can I get a $400 engine from? I couldn't find anything for that price around me.

Just to update you all,
My father had a guy look at it tonight, he said he would let me know if he wants to make an offer tomorrow. I would prefer to just sell it as a whole and be done with it. I didn't realize I would get this much interest in the car so quickly. Let me hear this guy out before I reply to any more of your PM's.

Understandable.

Most used 4 cylinder engines don't go for much more than $500 at junkyards. There is one for $800 on ebay, but I have seen them go for way less. Also, if you are not too far, there is a guy from Madison who is parting out his MSP that's sitting in a junkyard right now.
