Proper Introduction

Okay, so usually, I'll just jump right in and start making a nuisance of myself right away when joining a new board. But I figured, this time Ill play by the rules. Ive been lurking a bit before hand to see what the owners have been saying about the vehicle before we jumped into the fray. (lurk) So far I like what I'm reading.

So anyway, I just picked up the CX-7 last Thursday.(headbang) Its a copper red mica, FWD Touring edition with limited options (6-disk, Sirius, compass/dimming mirror, maybe a couple of other small things that are escaping me right now). It is technically the SOs vehicle, as shell be driving it most of the time.

Im enjoying the vehicle when I get to drive it but the SOs trying to block my attempts at every corner. Even saying, dont go to the grocery store just down the street (2 miles away), go to the market (two blocks away). Hmm, maybe I dont enjoy the vehicle. I get enough nagging without the CX-7.(bicker)

Anyway, Im looking forward to learning more about the vehicle and maybe doing a couple of mods here and there. So far, I think it may only be cosmetic as I love those JDM fog/driving lights I saw in the catalog and just havent had enough time to order them yet.

Anyway, this is getting long and before I get this: (stfu) , Ill do it myself!

LOL SO's get funny like that with a new car. Give her (him?) time and you'll be able to drive it w/o question. Congrats on the purchase - you made a great choice there (cool)

Funny you say that... I'm going to get one for myself, but I know 100% that my GF will be driving waaaay more than I will since I am going to get a station car also... oh well at least someone will enjoy it though!

Hey, welcome....as Psychobroker said give your "SO" time and they will allow you to drive it more....It is fun and every time my hubby and I go somewhere he takes the CX 7 every time over his new Mariner!! Gee, I have noticed he drives like a maniac in mine and not in his!! Right there that tells you how much more fun the CX 7 is!!

I sometimes forget on forum, no one can make the distinction of if you're male or female. (scratch) So, for the record, I'm male, Tom, and the SO is female. Is that even okay to say in today's PC world???(blarf) SO may be a slight misnomer as we're engaged and trying to figure out the details of when we're actually going to tie the knot.

I'm actually kind of glad she's getting possive about the CX-7. I hope she takes better care of it than the Trailblazer we're turning in. Actually, just last night she stated how much she loves it and hadn't felt that way about a car in a long time. That made me feel good, knowing we actually got her something she'll enjoy.(dance)

Oh, and thanks the warm welcome everyone!(2thumbs)

Sorry if I'm using too many smilies, there's just such a selection, I feel I have to use them all. Don't worry though, it'll soon pass.
