no let me further explain, there is no such thing as a chipped mazda protege 5 ecu, thats why i was asking
yes i have a muffler, thats connected to a cbe. I bought it for power, u bought that muffler for sound
the cut springs, eh if u dont have money to do it right then i guess thats ok
the valve cover, ill let u off on that one, since mine is a crazy color too

im just trying to point u in the right direction, no flaming or anything like that
if you dont have money to do it right, dont do it because trust me, you will regret it big time, (from personal experience)

well as im coming from the honda world we do have chipped ecu and its basically the same thing......

My muffler sound and performance..... Might not be much but it helps regardless........

My hks springs, well i was gonna buy a coil over kit off a member fromhere and he flaked out at the last minute and left me hanging, and i had almost sent him the money.........

Money is not an issue i do not see any thing wrong with my build, keep in mind i just got the car like 3 weeks ago.....

Again about the intake..... Many members told me to extend the intake more so i did, what is the problem now???? Couse its red??? I see no problem in it.... Your maf sensor will mess up egardless of what type of intake you have.... Excluding the stock box....
I already have a k/n drop in filter i just dont like that look....

the filter offers little to no protection against dirt or particles. Your maf may get grimy and malfunction sooner because of that. Also your maf is just hanging there. It might bang onto something and cause the maf to mess up. The maf is very sensitive. Honestly though, the intake isnt needed on these cars unless you just want noise or to show off.

no its not just hanging there if you look closely you can barley see that it has some thing to hold it up.... I made it...lol....

Thats not the point if its needd or not its fun to add s*** to your car......

yea the filter is too close to the maf, which can cause turbulence in the air and u may not get the correct reading from it
buy a k&n, they are great
actually, around christmas im putting all my turbo stuff on so i wont be needing my injen intake anymore
ill sell it to you for cheap if u want it

Jesus this thread got pretty retarded today. In my personal opinion, the muffler looks perfect. It looks like whoever did it, did it right. It looks great. Don't get the bumper. Get a real intake as soon as possible. Have a shop fab you up a custom 2.25" exhaust if you're staying NA. Make sure they include a hi flow cat and a resonator so it doesn't sound like s***. The purple valve cover actually looks sweet. I never thought I could say that anything purple on a car looks good but I think with a few more purple accents in there, it would look great. Do what you want to do. I'll make sure to look out for people that blatantly flame you like I do on all the threads. Welcome to the familia

I was gonna do a custon 2.25 exhaust but i didnt know what to do, remove or upgrade the resonator and cat....... Thats why i just left it like that..... Didnt want it to sound bad.....

I like the purple too, ive just had truble finding purple things.... Everything i can get my hands on is getting slapped on the car couse im am hosting a car meet in laredo texas..... So everything is going on and what ever doesnt match or work well will just be removed or fixed........

yea its fun to mod but sometimes adding a fake turbo sound to your muffler makes you car super sweet -_-

I like everything but the cut springs. One of the most important things on a car next to the brakes is the suspension, and tampering with it like that just never seemed like a good idea to me. My car doesn't sit exactly the way I like on the H&R springs I have, but it also handles like a beast and doesn't bounce me into headache territory. Hence the saving for coilovers! lol Again, I like your project so far. I really dig the purple valve cover. It's different. Plus I like car stuff to be brightly colored!

You're doing good. Save up for good suspension in the long run before you get too up there with the power mods.

But yeah skunk2 coilover kit will soon be on......

Hmm...purple vacuum hoses? Purple radiator hoses?

Suspension mods on this car are the s***! For me, its not as fun through the twisties unless I drive close to the car's limits. I don't feel like im doing much if I do the speed limit or a little over.

Hey I seen your mod wishlist and your prob wasting your time and money, they will not get you much power. For the money it takes to put all that crap on you can just buy my turbo kit, i've grown out of it and I'm maxxed out anyway and it's too much money to go forged. So think about it, for the right price I'll let it go.

Don't buy the skunk2 coils unless you want a harsh, bumpy, stupid ride. They will also destroy your struts. I actually was looking into them and GC coils a while back but it's just not worth it. There's a set of BC TRUE coilovers on sale brand new for like 200 bucks off in the FS section. 800 bucks.
