Solo I/II. This will be my track car. Hopefully it will be complete sometime next year. I plan on keeping a running total of the cost.GAspeedProtege said:lol, and the point of said project is?
Blown motor. The owner didn't have the money to fix it and the Mazda dealer was going to scrap it. I just happened to be in the right place at the right time.Looks like a hell of a deal for less than $130

Haven't quite decided on the motor yet. I might try and rebuild the motor thats in it, just so I can learn how to work on the rotary. I'm not even worrying about it right now due to all the other work that has to get finished first. The motor will be the last thing to do. My options right now in no particular order are: rebuild what I have, use carbs for simplicity and cost, get a Turbo II motor and drivetrain. The Turbo II swap would be awesome, but it would cost the most. I'll probably keep the motor I have and learn to drive the car before I start going crazy with the power.Captain KRM P5 said:good looking car for not alot of money - where are you going to source the new motor from?
Thanks Chris...thepartstrader.com was new to me but may be a good resource...I've been lurking on the RX7club for awhile trying to learn as much as I could.FC3s Boy said:check out some FC forums

I think it's a good idea to keep a running tally on projects like this..helps you see where your money is going and keeps things focused.SP33D said:when i get my CRX i'll keep a total too![]()
