I have a complete part list if you want there is also 2 little brackets you need to bolt the license plate bracket to the bumper and 2 washers that hold them on.

Thanks, I printed out the list from the Conversion thread and gave it to my mechanic. He is ordering all the bolts and washers, including those you mentioned. Your conversion is going to look great, especially with the Racing Harts :)

Thanks I been ordering parts like crazy lately lol Ken from protege garage has been hearing from me every other day about another part I need.

Good deal guys, can't wait to see some nice proteges soon! Makes me question whether I should have went with a conversion too! lol.

cool. great deal. now just remove the side molding and paint the doorhandles and side mirrors.

sandspeed.....nice ride....ive got the 2001 Protege 2.0 with the entire body kit plus the eicbach springs, ms struts, sway bar and strut bar, now im just looking into getting a msp 03 sport exhaust....anyone know if it will fit and if its loud and ricey?

If you aren't going to turbo your car, get this:

Sounds great but not loud and ricey at all! That was the criteria I had when I got my exhaust.

But of course :) The molding is coming off this weekend, and the door handles and mirrors are coming off when I get the other parts painted. It's awesome having a mechanic as a best friend, he is letting me borrow his truck while my car is at the shop!

Nice conversion, I like it!

Update: I just ordered the splash shields online for $26 each + shipping and the license plate bracket. I also ordered a brand new upper grill from a member here, hopefully the parts should be here next week so I can get everything painted.

thanks...sounds like you got your work cut out for you. cant wait to see everything done.

The conversions are pretty cool, but why not buy the real thing? I might be selling mine soon. (naughty)

Because I bought my car with 4 miles on it and I have taken care of it. I know with me taking care of it I can make it last a while, plus it will be paid off in August. When buying a used car, you won't find out if the previous owner took care of the car or not until around 100k miles.

any updates?

Yes, I took all of the parts I want painted to a Body shop this morning and got a quote. I will get a second estimate on monday and then pick one of the two. I had wanted to have it painted and installed next weekend, but I will be in State College PA instead. So it will have to happen sometime after I get back.

No, I got a quote from one place and I am going to call another place tomorrow. I was in State College PA this weekend so I am shooting for this Thursday or Friday. My car will be out of commission since I am getting the mirrors and door handles painted, so I have to borrow my friends truck to get to work.

Congrads by the way, it looks like you will win ride of the month for July!

The last of the parts I need shipped out today! (headbang)

And I got the parts today, very quick shipping! I may drop the car off tomorrow after work, I have to call them tomorrow.

dude..you're from baltimore? come hit me up sometime. I'd love to help if you need anything... I'm no body guy, but I do love to work on my cars. My protege though, is in the shop right now. if you've heard of it, absolute pro-formance in finksburg...anyways. good luck with that.
