Well, it's been a little while now due to a faulty donor engine, but I've got things sorted out now, wiring, and power steering is figured out (still some work to do on both though). And, the engine (KLZE) is in.

Almost there, wish me luck (the engine's warranty is up in 3 weeks) (crazy)

Lol!!! Keeps you company on those long nights in the garage.

A full write up should follow, if anyone's interested that is. I'm hoping to get it to 200whp N/A. Planning itbs, headers, and full standalone in the spring. Just need to get it running right now though.

theres a guy here in st louis doin the same swap

Who's that? (wink)

Looks like good progress. I haven't begun yet. Soon though, going to work over the KL before putting it in so maybe 2 weeks?

Durwood will have the Canadian KL'ed P5, I'll have the American KL'ed P5, things will be great! (rofl2)

She doesn't have hands tho. She does have a mouth tho..........for oral support! Nice action, keep the pics comin..........

if you want pics of that than you are seriously twisted....i never noticed the head...too busy starring at the motor going in that yeller p5...I WANT

Nice! since its very interesting project, can't help to ask several question...ehehhe. What cross member & drive shaft that you use?

thanks you

Can you elaborate on the wiring and steering setup?

Wiring is quite involved, I'll give a full write up once I'm sure it'll work. Basically I still have both ECUs The P5 one controls everything besides the engine and fuel pump. The KL one just controls the engine.

As for power steering, the high pressure line bolts right into the pump, and for the return line, I took the suction pipe off of both pumps, and braised them together so that it bolts to the kl pump with the smaller P5 return.

Stock cross member, stock half shafts, Mx3 Jack shaft (the one that bolts to the block for the passenger side)

One thing to note is the clearance between the frame rail and the power steering pulley is very very tight. I'm considering pulling the engine and bashing it in with a maul. You might want to do this. I'll take a pick of the suspect area if you're interested.
