Problems with the engine FAN..

sooo i just bought my P5 like 2 days ago...its a 2003 model and for some reason the fan keeps on turning on then off????? it keeps happening like every 5 minutes or so.... the car doesnt seem like its overheating or n e thing so is that normal with your cars....pleasee help!!!!

Its electronically controlled, don't worry about it.

Yes there was a recall on the 03. Definitely take your car to a good dealership as soon as possible as the problem can ruin your engine.

I don't have a P5, but my MSP does the same thing. It wasn't a problem until I got the aftermarket 70 durameter motormounts (softest AWR makes for it). Now, everytime the fan kicks on at idle it puts just enough load on the engine to kick the RPM's down so it vibrates the whole car.

That's quite annoying with the frequency with which it turns on/off; litterally at every stop.
