Problems with Mozilla Firefox. Help!

I installed Firefox a week ago. All in all, I'm happy with it, but there are a couple things that are bugging me.
1) Some pics show, some don't
2) I can't access my hotmail account unless I really futz with it.

The hotmail thing isn't that big of a deal, but not being able to see the pics on this site is killing me. Any help is appreciated.

No, I can get to it. It just takes going in circles for a bit.

What I get is a blank page, with the status bar reading "done"

i noticed my norton was making things SUPER slow. i disabled it and it immediately sped up

Hmm..I haven't noticed any problems like that with Firefox. Keep in mind that it is still a beta release, and will have bugs.

Yah, the pictures could be blocked or just not loading. Try reloading the page a couple of times and it might work.

I've found firefox to have a short security timeout value.
but so far I can't see anyplace to change that. with firewalls and local virus checkers working and hotmail's naturally slow interface, it hardly ever works for me.

if you really want to customize things like that in firefox (or mozilla) type "about:config" into the location bar (without quotes or that underscore) and you'll have access to a lot of "hidden" settings. i'm sure the timeout is set somewhere in there.
