Problems with iPod

You can go through by artist... That is how I set mine up. You can set up what you scroll through and what you display. I had the tech at Kenwood walk me through it all.

I can push the FM/Disc change/chapter button to go through artists. Then the regular track button goes through the songs.

So I have like... don't know, I try to keep it limited (I don't want my entire iTunes library on the pod) but there's probalby a good 50 (I'd guess) artists. So going through them can take some time if you are on Deftons and want to hear Pearl Jam (random examples), but there's really no way around that. Too bad you can't buy an external scroll wheel like the pod has. :-D

ya thats what i was talking about. i have the same functions but when i want to listen to a specific artist i just unplug the ipod and go to the artist on the ipod hit play and re plug it in. otherwise it takes forever because each artest has to load so it is about a second or two for each artist multiplied by over 200 artists and it is just not worth it.

i just picked up one of the kenwood interfaces tonight...so far, so good...i can operate it more like controlling the cd player...and since i dont need to use my tunedok anymore to hold and control the ipod, i have freed up my cupholder!

Yeah, I bought the Belkin pod cupholder thing before I bought the Kenwood interface. I don't really need it now if anyone is interested in it...

5th Gen is the newest, right?

I have a 60GB video that works fine w/ the Kenwood interface.

Yeah, it's the newest one. I have the 30gig video. I also have a Kenwood HU that took a dump on me, but that's a different story.

anybody tried plugging an iphone into one of these stock HUs?

I'm assuming the strait cable will work, but the controller probably won't?
