Problems on my stock MP3 Kenwoos Head unit, anyone else?

Since few months, the graphic on my mp3 player got all messed up, like there is no graphic..just a bruch of data kind on the MP3 unit screen.... I asked the Mazda dealer last time when I go, they say, it's ok....WTF!!!! (Mazda 2-20 sucks)

Then last days, while driving, the MP3 unit shut down automatically, for no reason, I haven't hit a bump or what so ever, it was smooth on highway and it just shut off like that, and can't restart it. Only after 20-30 min, I restart the car and the player back on.

Can I go to Mazda and ask for the repair under warranty?!
Any MP3 or MSP owners got the same problem on the kenwwod mp3 head unit?

I've had my headunit switched out under warranty. I know you have a MSP which is a different unit, but you should still be covered as long as your warranty is still intact.

werd.. i have had 3 z919 and now my z828 is giving me problems

Uhhh.... mine shutted off by itself a few times ...........

Didnt bother mentioning it to the dealer tho coz of course it wont happen when i bring it in the dealer for them to check....

mine has shut off like twice but after about 10 minutes i can turn it back on. but this has just started recently

mine were all replaced for free.. The z828 is the best i have had, but it tends to shut only the sound off randomly.. I added an amp about 6 months ago, so i gotta re check the wiring and all connections before i go to the dealer.. I hated the z919.. i had so many problems with it.

I might just buy another brand if this one keeps dying on me.

Well maybe its just me, but so far i have had no problems... I mean other than the volume button getting stuck, thats it..... weird.....

Hey i had the same problem with mine, the graphics were screwed up. So i went to the dealer and they gave me a new for nothing.

I went to Mazda for the radio problem again this morning, cuz the problem still there and happens more often. The graphic is mess up like always, but the radio shut off by itself more often!!! They check the radio, they say it's ok since the radio works when I bring in and went for a road test, the damn radio still works, then they say they can't replace it since it works. I can bring back and replace only when they see the problem....but how? Once I restart the car, the damn radio will back on!..grrrr

Umm, if the display is defective, they should be replacing it anyhow. Go to a different dealer, or call Mazda USA and complain about that dealer.

Yeah, I had one replaced myself...an 828. The contacts are a crappy design, methinks.

i dunno i have problems too, like the pause buttom would just press by itself, and the cd i put in will skip constantly...but other thattn than my 828 has been ok

but i guess thats cause of the lense inside the deck itself, might have to get it cleaned...i guess,

I have problems with the display on my 828 deck and it doesn't like to play any of my cds anymore. It sounds like the lens is trying to read but can't read anything. I use a lens cleaner about once a week if not more. Even brand new cds give me the TOC error and the work on all my other cd players.
