Problem with Kenwood Unit Z828

I have the orginal z828 that came in my mp3, i have noticed that for some reason now when i try to change the eq the screen is all blocky and you cant read what mode your in. also on the right side there used to be either the cd or a radio antenna. Is there anyway i can fix this without getting a new head unit?

I woudl suggest getting a new one anyways, the z828 in my experience was a skip-happy piece of junk. get a nice alpine or eclipse and never look back
