Prior to P5s, what did you drive?

After reading some threads, I was just wondering, what did everyone drive before they bought their P5s? I had a SLOW 1992 VW Jetta GL. I'm much happier now.

j/k 1995 Nissan 240sx.. but i needed something smaller. more compact, and i've always had a thing for hatchback (and stationwagons) best of both worlds in the P5!

'95 Toyota Camry - the most reliable and boring car in America. Probably would have kept it longer, but my wife took it for an off-road adventure (drive) I decided to get rid of it after that because of some insurance snafu (beware of Progressive). Looked hard at used VW Passats. Found one that I liked but the dealer didn't want to deal. So I started looking for P5s. I thoroughly enjoy this car. Could be a little faster and have better fuel economy (blah), but it makes up for it in so many other ways. No regrets.

1985 honda accord- tranny went out!
1997 pontiac sunfire- totaled from hit and run
1999 honda civic lx- tranny slipped at 44k (done with hondas)
2003.5 mp5 laser blue! love it!

Heard that...I thought Hondas were supposed to go forever...I made that mistake too...both Hondas in our family fell apart after babying them like crazy.

1956 Chevy Bel-Air two door
1970 VW Custom (3/5 scale 1940 Ford Coupe look-a-like)
1965 WV Bettle Sleeper (V-8 eater)
While I had these, we had a few mini vans at the same time to haul the kids around in.....NOW, we have TWO P-5's

and our Harley's for cursin on the weekends in the sun.

and just in case you were wonderin....I started driving in 1974.

My previous car to the P5 was a 96 Escort with a whopping 88HP and auto tranny. When people complain about the lack of power in the P5, I just laugh, hehe. Anyway, she dropped a valve seat at 72k miles and destroyed the engine (6 months out of warranty (bang) ). Therefore, I bought the Protege, put a new engine in the 'scort, sold the 'scort and bought Miata #1.

Over the last 17 years I have had a 76 Cutlass, then a 76 Buick Special, then a 74 Camaro LT, then a 82 Tercel, then a 79 Celica, then a 84 Sentra, then a 84 Skylark, then a 73 Camaro, then a 87 Sentra, then a 94 Villager, then a 2000 Protege ES, then a 98 Dakota, then a 2001 Dakota Quad Cab 4X4 (that my ex-wife took), then finally a s*** box 94 Sentra I sent off to the junk yard for $30 two days after buying my 2003.5 Protege5.....

There were a few others in there somwhere, but that is about it..... I think I will stick with the Mazda for a while.... It is the most fun since my 74 Camaro for sure....

1987 Mustang 2.3L Coupe 5sp. Header, exhaust, gears, posi, GT suspension, intake ->Deer, rebuilt sold for 3X what I paid for it.
1987 Crown Victoria LX: 5.0L HO, exhaust, headers, stall converter, shift kit, gears, PI susp/brakes. Blew 2nd tranny out, been sitting ever since.
1989 Crown Vic PI Clone -> rear ended datsun PU. Totaled.
1991 Grand Marquis ->stock traded in on P5
