I didn't get my sunroof done because the guy that did it warned me about cracking. He said that the combination of the sun beating directly down on it, and the tint not allowing the glass to naturally expand and contract will cause cracking. Factory tint that's imbedded in the glass doesn't suffer this problem (damn you Mazda, why couldn't you tint my sunroof?) I do live in S Florida, so climate may also be a factor.bradman said:It hasn't cracked *yet*. In fact, I've never heard of such a thing. When I bought my prelude a while back it had the sunroof tinted and I liked it so I asked for the same when tinting the 5. The tinters didn't mention anything about cracking...as mentioned, could have something to do with the climate here.
BTW, I paid $100 for Lumar 15% all around, with strip.
