President's Approval Rating Dips Below 40

I thought I watched a show on Clinton just a few weeks ago, he wasn't rich. He worked his way up. And slept with all.

I don't think Clinton did a lot of working in his life. He received grants because he was smart. And yes, he didn't start out rich. Clinton screwed himself with his scandals. Plus, he wasn't very trustworth (saying things to the public). Other than that, he had a pretty good presidency. He was good at combining military operations (not wars) with good diplomacy skills. Certain things did fall off during his presidency though (we did become complacent).

Yes I know who it's about, I was responding to the question about naming a poor guy that made it to the house.

As far as Bush goes, just like Clinton he's done several things for us little guys. My parents got to keep their house because he lowered the taxes. In 3yrs their taxs went up 600.00 a month. After the tax breaks that Bush pushed they are now back under 300.

My point was we all have likes and dislikes but not once did I go out and bash Clinton for ******* up. It just seems like every one is so quick to jump on Bush for every thing that goes wrong in their lives. He can't controle evrything. The house and the senate play a big part in what happens. He may have final say but that doesn't mean s*** if you don't have the votes. Yes I know we have them now but that wasn't always the case in his first term.

heres the thing that bothered me about the tax cut. if you cut the lower the bottom brackets (like Gore would have) EVERYBODY gets a tax cut. the way that taxes work, is you get taxed in each bracket. for example (these arent real numbers) lets say these are the brackets [0-15,000, rate 1] [15,000-35,000, rate 2] [35,000-60,0000, rate 3] [60,000-90,000, rate 4] etc someone who makes 70k a year lets say, pays taxes the following 15,000 @ rate 1, 20k @ rate 2, 25k @ rate 3, 10k @ rate 4....most conservatives dont seem to realize that they get a cut too, even if they make 18 quadrillion a year...

oh and "trickle down" does NOT work. lets look at a person making very little money, lets say 20k a year. in order to survive, they will spend just about thier full 20k a year. that 100% of their money going back into the economy. if they get a cut and have an extra couple grand they WILL spend it immediately.
a person who makes 100,000 a year, lets say they have 4 times the living expenses as the other guy, there still banking 20k a year. if they get a couple extra grand what are they gonna do? its going in the bank with the other 20k...its simple economics people....its not that tough...

I just don't see how you all say the tax cuts didn't help. 2yrs ago I made 20k single dad with 1 kid. I got back almost 3k, I wasn't claiming any dependants. Last yr I had to claim 6 because I needed the cash up front. I still got back 2500.00. So I don't see how they don't help. It lets me keep more of my money.

Plus it give the rich buisness owners tax breaks and in return they save money. That lets them creat more jobs, and thats why our unemployment rate is the lowest it's been in 6yrs. So yes they do work, you just have to look at the big picture. The rich get a bigger break but hey they worked for it. Just because their rich doesn't mean they should have to pay for your broke buts. If you were the little guy that busted his ass off and built a company and now are a rich bastard you would think it's far that you pay more then the other guys. We all need to pay our own way IMO.

I do agree with Bushes tax cuts. I for one paid no taxes on the 40+ thousand dollars I made off of my home sale and when the new home I built is sold in 2 yrs I will get to keep 87,000$ tax free. However, after that he has spent like a druken sailor with his Daddy's credit card. The war needs to end, we need to secure our own borders, illegal immigration needs to be addressed, and the oil companies are getting away with raping the American consumer.
Not one major player from either side Comucrats or the Republicants have addressed illegals or border security and they have been absent on the oil issue as well.

honestly though, i dont know why people (including myself) argue about this stuff...it doesnt matter, its not like any of you are going to change my opinion, or i'm going to change anybody elses.

The average age of the military is 19. I remember when I was 19 I knew what was best for the entire country too.
