Powertrain warranty U.S. model

Hey all,

I am debating abot getting extended warranty. ($905 for 7/75 $0.00 deductible)

I don't plan to mod the car, it doesn't fit my age..the exhaust is already rowdy enough...fortunately there are plenty of horses to back that noise up..

Does anyone know with some authority (i.e. mazdatech, automotive lawyer or anyone in the business who can read the fine print in the manual) what does powertrain warranty cover?

To be specific - does it cover the entire tranny and turbo and engine, I guess it does not cover ECU, but how about the vital engine and drivetrain parts.

I have 675 miles on 08 MS3 and so far it has been flawless, except I started noticing slight grinding noise when I put it neutral and let go of the clutch. (even when it it is warm) On my 07 RX8 the noise was even louder but I chalked that up to the rear whell drive and tranny in your lap effect. RX8 is gone now..(don't ask..)

So...any opinons are welcome but; what do you really know about powertrain warranty...?

As for your location, you're in SoCal? What part? I've seen 2 other Speed3s here where I live. A TrueRed and another Black Mica! (San Diego area to be precise)
