Power Steering Not Working at Idle

I've got a weird problem with my power steering. It quit working when at idle or low RPM's. When driving, it's fine. Also if I rev up the engine, it improves quite a bit, but still not quite normal. Any ideas? I'm unsure if it's actually the pump or something else.

check your fluid level first.
is your belt slipping? highly unlikely...

if none of the above are out of wack then i could only assume the pump is on its last legs.

what year is she i know mazda does have an 800 number to call about faliure power steering pumps i know mine is an 04 but they olny say 07-10 so iam gonna call and b**** them out so hope it all goes good 1.800.222.5500 is the number mon-fri 6am to 4pm eastren time so the tread is called power steering failure hope this helps
