I might be able to get a red wrinkle finish let me check my suppliers. Any shade of red in particular? If I can get it the wrinkle red it may onyl be in a specific type of red, I'll see what I can find for ya.

I think the wrinkle is a different part, like an addative to the powder. The color is seperate, but I might be dead wrong.

Good work.

EDIT: SuperMattyP, who is also a powdercoating enthusiast, said that he has tried the wrinkle finish from a company called "Caswell," and it has never worked for him. Just FYI.

How about this, pretty close? Now the color may not be exactly as pictured due to light conditions but it should be pretty close.

yea it looks like that. i'm not going for the v-tech look so much as i just want to keep a theme. i know honda engines have this but then again so does that MSM up there. i might buy an extra valve cover from somewhere, clean it up and ship it to you. although canada is a pretty long trek for some powdercoating. i'll have to talk to you more about it. thanks for looking!

EDIT: well what do you guys think...i have a black MSP and I have a red thing going on, or want to have a red thing going on. Should I do the wrinkle black or the wrinkle red. I love the wrinkle finish so it's one or the other! Let me hear your opinions

I'd go with the stock engine cover if I were you. It makes the bay look much cleaner.

If you're commited to do powdercoating, some pictures of the engine bay would help so we can see what the "red and black thing" looks like.

Rainman - I live about 1 hour south of Toronto, I should have a spare VC soon so we may be able to work something out there.

During the week of Aug 18-28 I will be down in T.O. and the K-W/Cambridge area, so let me know about the spare valve cover. I will see if I can get my hands on one between now and then.

I just got my valve cover from Sprout - it looks awesome! I hope to get it installed in a couple of days; when I have, I'll post pics.
