Disagree. Small things make pretty nice differences on the 2.3. I've driven his car, and I've driven a number of MS3's. I'd rather drive his 3 the way it is to be honest. The car pulls pretty well for an N/A car, and the torque curve is relatively flat. I have no doubt that it would take a stock MSP thru a quarter mile... hell, even one with mild bolt ons.

But... at the same time, there's no doubt that just about every Mazda has an inherent flaw that causes issues. FS-DE with the weak rods, MS3's with the transmission dropping habits... etc.

But this isn't the point of the thread of course.

I would probably just go ahead and do the whole tail light with a red vinyl, if I did it. I don't mind the tinted reverse light that I did recently, but I'm not huge on it. I probably won't mess with it for a while, because I'm broke as fuk and unemployed, lol. But red tail lights, red brake calipers & red lug nuts I think is the route I'm gonna go.

yeah, i took a gamble on it...was getting bored with the bronze wheels and wanted something "different" haha think it turned out pretty well
if i ever have to repaint them i want to go a shade darker and a touch more olive in the green

Damn right it is. The end result is worth it though. I need to re-do my outer tail lights this weekend since my vinyl is refusing to lay right.
