ya.... i have had the dam thing repainted twice now, the paint just keeps breaking and flaking off.

thats not the stock lip for a spicy msp, its the 03.5 lip. It was sanded down though, my one buddy thinks that they did use the gorilla stuff that mix's in with the paint and lets it flex.
Actually to paint over it u don't need to sand it all the way down, but if the paint is flaking off like that yeah you probably should. When sanding it though try to make it as smooth as possible if going down to bare plastic. then apply a light coat of adheasion promoter, followed by primer, then base coat/clear coat. I do that kind off stuff all da at work. Easy fix.

me and painting dont get along unless its in a rattle can haha.

What annoyed me most is people kept calling them Rota rims over the weekend... I guess I should break down and throw the WORK decals on...

they're a damn good copy... honestly, I'd rather have 2 sets of rotas than a set of works....
Eh, Rotas are okay but I'd still rather have the real thing. While Rotas will certainly get the job done they definitely aren't up to par with the real deal. Strength, lightness and finish are definitely better. Compare the Rota knock-offs to the real Work/Volk wheels and you'll see what I mean.

I will be the first to admit they are inferior. But, for the benefits you receive for 2-3x the price.. its just not worth it to me. I could spend that money 10 other ways and personally feel like I got more for the investment. If I had money to piss away on it, I'd be ALL about blowing it on a set of badass wheels, but... well, as of now I'm rolling on painted mz3 stockers, so anything is an improvment in my eyes at this point! lol
