*facepalm*

How is anyone supposed to get better without some critiquing? This is a photography thread, and therefore some photographic discussion is totally appropriate. How about you post up some pics?

no, because if i do, everyone is going to hate that my "lighting or angle is ridiculously ridiculous" (zoolander tone)

there are some of us here who wish to take more than snapshots of our cars. we know who we are.. and are more critical of each other based on that. (I tend to be on the receiving end as I'm still pretty much a newb) relax, you won't be judged. if you ask for a critique you'll get one, otherwise, most likely you wont.

I find that the tone used in many of the "critiques" is a bit discouraging for some to post.

very true ^^ i feel the pics i do have are not good enough so i dont post em.

i have been wanting to take some new pics, but the weather has been wack here (rain rain rain). but i might snap some in the next few weeks.

Doh! I love "space" in my photos. Some people tend to crop their photos to only the subject. I believe there are so many other elements in a frame that lead to a great photo.

lol, I meant it as Da Vinci was all about the "Rule of Thirds" and would want to punch babies at the comment about not having negative space. I like your photo just fine.

Yes, the name of this thread is, "Post your best pictures". So if you take a photo and feel like it's not good enough to post, then don't post it. That simple. We all share a love for Mazda, let's show our support to others here and try not to be so critical.

Ok guys, let's get back to posting photos of our cars.

it also says YOUR best pics...

MY best pics will likely never be as good as altspace's best pics. First of all his car is way more badass than mine will be. and he'll likely always be a better photographer as well.

but its a goal, right?! LOL

And pictures with just the focus in it are boring, Josh takes great pictures and the whole dead space idea is baloney some of the best pictures have "empty space."

Yes..if used correctly. Sometimes composition can be a tricky thing. It's not about just rule of thirds but it also has to lead the viewer's eye into the subject or photo naturally. Like Altspace's photos have a lot of room but it also has that bright red subject that makes your eyes go to it. It's very borderline in terms of "following the rules" because it doesn't lead you to the subject, it's the subject that makes you want to look at it. It's hard to explain. Not dissin' on any of the photos, but there are some here that are not the "best" pics of your ride. I feel that people can do a lot better if they took a little more time to take that right picture. Just spend the extra 30 seconds or 10 minutes to find that "sweet spot" and snap away. Think things through before clicking on the shutter button.
