I will get a carbon hood as soon as they either make one for the 99-00 again, or I can find a Protege5 in classic red that is close to me with a good bumper, fenders, and headlights and then ill get one for the 01-03. As far as pulling weight off. the 2.5 is only about 70lbs more than the 1.8 so maybe 20-30lbs heavier than the MSP with all the turbo s***.

And I'm glad to see you're still sticking with your Protege and planning on more mods with a lot of the Protege's being de-modded, totalled and parted out.
Well, I have no reason to get rid of it ever. I own it, it is modded to the roof with only a handful of things possibly left. I have fixed the main b**** people have towards the protege and that is power. Its rather unique and Im just not a fan of how big newer cars have become. Just look in the pic above, of course the angle doesnt help either, but the protege is small compared to the MS3. PROTEGES!!!!!!

P.S: Dont mind the booboo on the front lip. That was from the first night of our trip driving in NY. A truck had a blow out not too long before we went through and i moved over into the fast lane to avoid him in the break down lane and the entire tread was in the fast lane, thats all the damage though so i was lucky and its fixed now mostly

Yeah i have to agree i like the 99-00 front end alot better, thats why i didnt do the whole conversion and i did my hybrid bumper so i could keep the lights and best of all my CF hood, but wanted to have the round fogs and option of lips so i figured why not have both and not settle.

The only thing i really like about the p5 or even sedan lights from 01-03 is the option for projectors. I know projectors are possible in the 99-00, but IMO it looks goofy with such tall housings and a little projector. I really liek the P5 headlights because once a projector is in place you have a separate high beam just like most newer cars.

yeah same here that would be the only reason i would have swapped but i really like the 99-00 lights i know some will think im crazy but hey, one of the meain reasons was i actually found a VIS CF Hood and wasent about to let it go to get projecters. Im eventually just gonna slap some in the 99-00 lights it may look off but IDK ill be able to see better and ill be happy. In the end thats all that really matters anyways.

he just had the rear lip it looks like the 03.5 but with a few minor differences but the bumper is OEM
but for that reason i made the front bumper sit alittle lower on my car so it would sit better with the side skirts

I really like the hybrid bumper, speed. I hope that you get them put together with something besides metal plates and screws. The "frankenstein" look really takes away from it imo. If you ever have intrest in selling one of those lips I would be interested, very interested.

thanks man the brackets are just to hold it in place while i put them together thats all they are coming off this weekend if i get the time, i would have dont it last weekend but i was celebrating my daughters and my bday, so no car time there but should get done this weekend dont worry. As for the lips it was a PITA trying to find them they are originals not replicas. I wasent sure which one i like most so i figured why settle and get both. I like having options so unfortuantley i dont see them going anywhere. But if i ever do ill keep you in mind
