I'm sorry, but as far as I'm concerned, rx8 wheels look good on nothing. There just played out...

I agree with u guys the wheels are played out a bit. But i think the 3s shouldnt go under 18s. 17s are a tad bit small. Just my .02. Okay back to pics..

What I never got was the first gen 3 owners, like me only not, would go out of their way to replace the factory 17's w/the 18" RX8 wheel's? They look almost the same, but are up to 5lbs heavier apiece!! That's a significant amount of increase for a 1" OE to OE "upgrade" and is very noticable in the steering and handling depts... in a negative way. As if its not hard/expensive enough to improve the performance of these cars.

I had my Mz3 17's mistaken for RX8s MANY times... I was more than happy to switch to the much lighter, wider FDs. though many here would probably label them played out just as fast as RX8s.

Keep in mind that most of the time you're dealing with people wanting the larger size for baller status and not performance increases.

WRONG!!

both stock 17's and rx8's are about 21-22lbs

and you get an inch and a half extra width with rx8's (17x6.5 v. 18x8)

Hardly, RX8s far surpass any OEM wheel as being played out. People are gonna get 4 to 5 lug converter hubs and run them on miatas soon, watch (attn)

Akshoo-alee, I don't even like the RX-8 wheels on RX-8s; never understood the fascination with them. But like Satimko said (sort of) It's a personal statement made by the owner of the car. Whatever makes his socks roll up and down is what matters.

Now, can we move along and cover some new ground that hasn't been beat to death already, like winged vs. wingless?(rofl2)(lol2)(rlaugh)

We have/had someone 'round here who used to come to our meets that had a red P5 w/CF hood. I always thought that combo looked HAWT!! Yours has a good overall look about it. Not overdone, just nice and personal.
